Your course instructor:
Mireya Pérez started her career as a language professional over a decade ago, beginning as a certified medical interpreter. She worked within a general hospital system before she transitioned to a children’s hospital. This is where she discovered language barriers within LEP families and the importance of having a sense of community.
This course is for fully bilingual individuals who have completed interpreter training courses and are certified or qualified as professional interpreters, or are court-eligible interpreters.
