The Professional Medical Interpreter:

A Comprehensive 40-hour Interpreting Course

This self-paced online course is for aspiring medical interpreters who are looking for a comprehensive training program that will prepare them to work as professional interpreters in medical and healthcare settings.

In this course, students will learn the standards of practice and code of ethics from both the International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA) and the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC).

Two textbooks supplement the online course material. The textbooks are available in two editions: Paperback edition, and eBook edition. They can be purchased through Amazon in the links below.

$265 - Course tuition with no textbooks (Select this option if you plan to purchase the eBook or paperback edition of the textbooks on your own through Amazon.) 

NOTE: Students must purchase the course textbooks no matter which payment option they choose. The textbooks will allow students to retain the course material after their access to this online course is expired.

Students will have 30 days to complete the course on their own time, along with scheduled interactive webinars. A computer headset and webcam are required. This course meets the national certification 40-hour training requisite.
